Buldak Curry Ramen

This is honestly one of my favorite ways to make ramen. Especially the buldak curry ramen! Sometimes instant ramen does the trick for when you are in a hurry, tired or just want some comfort food. We all know its unhealthy, but its okay sometimes. Shhh, I wont tell if you wont! Honestly it is packed with flavor but also calories, still soo worth it (once in a while)!

Key Components of this Buldak Curry Ramen:

  1. Buldak Curry Ramen: You are going to need the buldak ramen curry flavor. This recipe can be used with any ramen but I found it best works with the curry flavored one.
  2. Cream: The cream is perfect for this dish because it reduces the heat level and makes the buldak edible without having to burn your mouth.
  3. Spices: I like to add curry powder for more flavor along with the seasoning packets that come with it. If we are ogint to elevate it the ramen, we gotta add our own spices.
  4. Fried green onions: The fried green onions makes this dish, it adds the pungent flavor of the green onion and it cuts through all the creaminess from the cream and cheese.

Creamy Curried Noodles in a Snap!

Who doesn’t love a quick, comforting noodle dish that hits all the right flavor notes? This recipe is packed with creamy, cheesy goodness and has just the right amount of spice from curry powder. Best of all, it only takes a few minutes to prepare, making it the perfect go-to meal when you’re short on time but want something delicious. Letโ€™s get started!

Boil Those Noodles!

First things first, grab your favorite pack of noodlesโ€”ramen or any quick-cook noodle will work. Follow the instructions on the package, usually around 5 minutes of boiling. Once theyโ€™re cooked, take out 3/4 cup of that precious noodle water before you strain the rest. This water will be your secret ingredient for that perfect creamy texture later on!

Sizzling Aromatics: Garlic, Ginger & Green Onions

While the noodles are cooking, itโ€™s time to get those aromatics ready! Chop up half a cup of green onions, mince two garlic cloves, and cut a 1/2-inch piece of ginger. But hey, if you’re in a rush (or just feeling a little lazy), opt for 1 teaspoon each of garlic and ginger paste. Itโ€™s a lifesaver! Heat up 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan, toss in your green onions, and let them sizzle until theyโ€™re a little browned. Then, add the ginger and garlic, letting them cook for just 30 seconds to a minute.

Letโ€™s Get Saucy

Now itโ€™s time to bring in the rich and creamy elements. Add 1/3 cup of cream to the pan, along with 1 teaspoon of curry powder. And donโ€™t forget the seasoning packets that came with your noodles! These little flavor bombs will add an extra punch of umami to the dish. Give everything a quick stir so all the ingredients are well-mixed and the aroma fills your kitchen.

Cheese It Up!

The next step is where the magic happens. Toss in a slice of American cheeseโ€”yes, trust me on this! The cheese melts into the sauce, creating a smooth, velvety texture that makes this dish so irresistible. Now, remember that 3/4 cup of noodle water you set aside earlier? Pour that in and mix everything together.

Noodle Time!

Add your strained noodles to the pan, making sure theyโ€™re fully coated in that glorious creamy, cheesy curry sauce. Stir everything up so the noodles soak up all the flavors. Itโ€™s looking good, isnโ€™t it? But weโ€™re not done yet!

Time to Top It Off & Enjoy

No noodle dish is complete without a finishing touch. Drizzle some chili oil over the top for a kick of heat and extra flavor, and sprinkle on a handful of chopped green onions to add freshness and crunch. And there you have it! A quick, delicious, and oh-so-satisfying bowl of creamy curried noodles thatโ€™s perfect for any time of day. Dig in!
