Why Indomie is My Favorite Noodles
Iโve always had a soft spot for Indomie, but thereโs one memory that stands out: back when I was in university, it was my go-to meal after long days of classes and goofing off. Iโd boil up a couple of packs and throw in whatever ingredients I could find at home. No matter how simple or experimental, it always hit the spot. Fast forward to now, and I still love how versatile Indomie is. Itโs so easy to elevate with a few simple ingredients, and Iโm all about taking those instant noodles to the next level!
Key Ingredients in This Dish
The beauty of this Indomie recipe lies in its simplicity and flavor-packed ingredients. Hereโs what youโll need to turn your regular Indomie into something extraordinary:
- Indomie noodles (of course!)
- Rice vinegar (for that tangy kick)
- Hoisin sauce (for a little sweet and savory magic)
- Green onions, cilantro, green chilies (freshness and heat)
- Neutral oil (for tempering)
- Garlic (because garlic makes everything better!)
Step-by-Step Indomie Magic
Start Cooking the Noodles
Begin by boiling a pot of water. Once it’s boiling, add the Indomie noodles and cook them for about 2 minutes or according to the packet instructions. The noodles should be tender but still have a slight bite to them. Strain the noodles and set them aside for now.

Prep the Veggies & Sauce
While the noodles are cooking, chop up 1/4 cup each of cilantro and green onions, slice 3 green chilies, and mince 3 cloves of garlic. Add all of these into a bowl. To bring some tang and flavor, add 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar and 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce to the mix. Trust me, this combination will give your noodles an extra punch of flavor thatโll have you hooked!

Tempering the Oil
In a small pot or steel ladle, heat 1.5 tablespoons of neutral oil on high heat for about 2-3 minutes. Youโll know itโs ready when the oil starts shimmering and has a watery consistency. Itโs time to pour that sizzling hot oil over your veggie mixture! The hot oil will release all those incredible aromas and infuse your dish with a rich depth of flavor.

Mix It All Together
Now, toss in your cooked noodles and mix everything up. Coat the noodles in that savory, tangy sauce until theyโre well combined. The sizzling hot oil and hoisin sauce create a delicious glaze that sticks to every strand of noodle. You can stop right here, or if you want to take it up a notch, add a bit of chili oil, garnish with extra green onions, and maybe even top it off with a fried egg.

Time to Enjoy!
Now that your Indomie masterpiece is ready, take a moment to admire it. You’ve just transformed an ordinary instant noodle pack into a deliciously gourmet dish in less than 15 minutes. Dig in and enjoy every bite of these flavorful, saucy noodles. Whether youโre having it for a quick lunch or a late-night snack, this recipe is sure to become your new go-to for all things Indomie. So what are you waiting for? Itโs time to enjoy your tasty creation!
