This is How I Got My Girlfriend!

If thereโ€™s one dish that changed my life, itโ€™s Marry Me Chicken Spaghettiโ€”because this is how I got my girlfriend!

I wanted to impress her, so I made this creamy, garlicky, slightly spicy spaghetti with tender, juicy chicken. She loved it so much she went for seconds By the end of the night, she jokingly said, “If you keep cooking like this, I might just have to marry you.” And guess what? Weโ€™ve been together ever since!. From that night on, this became our little “proposal pasta”.

Itโ€™s rich, flavorful, and ridiculously easy to make. Try it at your own riskโ€”because love might just be a plate of pasta away! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ

Step-by-Step: How tomake Marry Mer Chicken Spaghetti in 20 Minutes

Step 1: Sear the Juiciest Chicken

The key to this dish starts with perfectly seasoned chicken. I fillet or pound one large chicken breast so it cooks evenly, then season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. A quick sear in olive oil over medium heat gives it a golden-brown crust, locking in all the flavor. In just 4-5 minutes, itโ€™s cooked through, juicy, and ready to rest while we build the sauce. Donโ€™t skip this stepโ€”well-seasoned chicken makes all the difference!

Step 2: Boil the Perfect Pasta

While the chicken is searing, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remember: season your pasta water like the ocean! Drop in 150g of spaghetti (2 servings) and cook until itโ€™s just al dente (according to the package around 10-12 minutes)โ€”this ensures it soaks up all the sauce later without turning mushy. Before draining, save ยฝ cup of pasta waterโ€”this is liquid gold that helps bind the sauce perfectly.

Step 3: Build the Flavorful Sauce

This creamy tomato-based pasta sauce is where the magic happens. In the same pan used for the chicken, heat 2 tbsp olive oil and sautรฉ minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Stir in tomato paste and cook for a minute to deepen the flavor before adding the sun-dried tomatoes. The real indulgence comes in when we stir in heavy cream, oregano, chili flakes, salt, black pepper, fresh parsley, and parmesan. A splash of pasta water helps bring it all together, making it smooth and silky.

Step 4: Bring It All Together

Now, letโ€™s reintroduce that juicy chicken. You can slice it and toss it into the sauce, or keep it whole and serve it on top of the pasta for a restaurant-style presentation. Add the drained spaghetti and mix everything well, letting the pasta soak up all that creamy, garlicky goodness. If the sauce feels too thick, add a little more pasta water to loosen it up.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve Like a Pro

No pasta dish is complete without the final flourish! Sprinkle on more parmesan for that rich, salty finish, and add a handful of chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness. Serve it hot, with extra chili flakes on the side for those who love a little extra heat.
